The Kingpin offers skiers a lightweight and durable Pintech Toe binding perfect for heading uphill efficiently, while still being able to charge on the way down the mountain. This Pintech binding from Marker has been allowing skiers to get after all the backcountry lines they have been dreaming about skiing. The Marker Kingpin 13 bindings developed by Marker’s team of engineers was the first Pintech touring binding to gain DIN ISO 13992:2007 certification from Germany’s prestigious TUV testing organization. With the Kingpin 13 gaining this certification, the touring market has been redefined with this binding providing the ability to be aggressive on the downhills as well as giving skiers an incredibly efficient uphill travel. Finally a pin touring binding has been developed that does not compromise downhill performance at all. The Kingpin 13 includes Marker’s Sixpack Power Springs made from steel to keep you locked in and absorb vibrations on the downhill. It is very easy to change from climb to ski mode and in climb mode, there are 3 different climbing options of 0, 7, or 13 degrees providing the ability to get up a variety of terrain steepness. Essentially the new Marker Kingpin 13 is the answer to provide both power and lightweight efficiency for all your backcountry adventures. DIN Range: 6.0 – 13.0. Size: 75 – 100mm, 100 – 125mm. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size eg. A mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm.
