Bindings release values have been tested before taking the pictures. After that, skis have been warehouse stored and may have dust or dirt on them. We recommend having your skis set up and adjusted to your boots by a professional ski shop. Please verify that your preferred ski shop will set up and adjust these particular skis and bindings. The returning Impact is the same shape as the Rictor, its stablemate in K2’s AMP series of men’s all-mountain performance skis, but it’s metal free and better suited to lighter weights and lower speeds. K2 designed it to spend a little more than half its time in ungroomed conditions. It’s a wood-core (fir/aspen) torsion-box Hybritech construction (sturdy vertical sidewall underfoot for edge grip, lightweight cap fore and aft for supple flex). Carbon fibers are used to stiffen its torsional flex. Available as a system, it comes with a 11-DIN Marker/K2 MX TC binding. K2’s All-Terrain Rocker combines 70 percent camber with 30 percent tip/shovel rocker to smooth the ride, enhance forgiveness and improve soft-snow flotation. Based on skier’s weight, height, boot size and skiing level, it is extremely important to have forward pressure, DIN, and release values of the bindings adjusted properly prior to use.
