Blizzard G-Force Sonic IQ. From 2011 is part of Blizzard’s all-mountain or performance-oriented ski lineup, designed for skiers who want a blend of precision, stability, and versatility. Length : The 181 cm model you’re referring to is a mid-to-long length, suited for skiers with a bit of experience, especially for those who like to tackle varied conditions. Core Construction : The G-Force Sonic IQ features a wood core combined with metal laminates (like titanium), which enhances stability and dampens vibrations, making it solid for high-speed carving and stability on hardpack. IQ Binding System : The IQ system is Blizzard’s proprietary binding interface, designed for quick response and better integration with the ski. It helps to improve energy transfer from the skier to the ski, especially in challenging conditions. Shape : A more carving-oriented ski, with a narrower waist (around 70-75mm depending on the length) and an aggressive sidecut, making it a good choice for hard snow and groomed runs. Flex : The ski generally has a medium flex – stiff enough to provide stability at speed but still forgiving enough for more varied terrain or snow conditions. On-piste : The G-Force Sonic IQ excels in groomed, packed snow conditions. It has a sharp edge hold, making it great for carving tight turns. Its responsiveness and stability also make it fun at higher speeds on hardpack. Off-piste : Not a powder-specific ski, but still decently capable in soft snow and mixed conditions. It’s best for someone who’s more focused on carving but occasionally ventures off the groomed trails. Stability : Thanks to the metal layers in the core, this ski offers great stability at higher speeds, but it’s still lightweight enough to maneuver easily in tight spots. 121 – 68 – 105. 4.0 – 12.0. SERVICE: We have also a fully equipped on-site workshop and Wintersteiger and CSA authorized technicians carrying out both ski and snowboard servicing and repairs. We do our best to show you in the photos the condition of the skis, but because of the structure, sometimes it is hard to present exactly how it looks like.
