(Although you will also need to invest in skins) With a redesigned Triple Pivot Light 2 toe, you get less weight, easy step in and step out capabilities, and great releasability when you it need it most. It even has an anti-ice rail to help shed ice and snow build up in the toe too which are very common occurrences when ski touring. A new Hollow Linkage 2 Heel offers improved step in and added security. This is a great entry-level touring binding with solid all-mountain performance for the skier who is either new to skinning or does not want to take a leap into tech boots. Climbing aids offer 7° and 13° positions to allow comfortable, relaxed uphill skinning; integrated elastomer pads damp impact, reducing that irritating “clack”. Triple Pivot Light toes with horizontally inserted springs combine with the gliding plates to ensure precise release behavior; lightweight aluminum bridges on top add support. AFD (antifriction device) gliding plates support a precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice. DIN range of 3 to 10 is a great choice for intermediate and lighter-weight skiers.
