The Brahma 82 SP is a really good ski for a skier who wants a ski that can do it all, but mostly skis on trail. Very sophisticated construction inside that is almost never found at this price. However, because this ski has less Titanal inside, it feels lighter, more playful and less demanding on the snow than the more expensive Brahma 82. This might not be the choice for the fastest, hi speed skiers, but for most of us who ski on groomers, this is a great all around, “all day, every day” ski. This SP version of the Brahma 88 differs from the standard Brahma 82 in a couple of features; (1) This ski has a more durable, longer lasting textured top sheet, (2) the base is mostly black, rather than clear and is easier to repair, (3) a metal tip protector offers extra cosmetic durability, and (4) it is only available with the Marker binding shown, and (5) it has a single sheet of Ti under the binding area, rather than sheets of Ti running full length. This ski is matched up the Marker TP 10 binding system. This model from Marker has everything a skier wants in a binding, and can adjusted to fit any boot with no holes to redrill ever. High performance toe design comes from Marker’s Squire family, and this binding is compatible with standard Alpine boot soles, but also with the newer Grip Walk boots that are available as well. This binding has a DIN range of 3 to 10. And will work for any skier with a DIN setting of 4 or higher. This is the choice for any good adult skier.
