BRAND NEW, NEVER MOUNTED MARKER DUKE PT 16 BINDINGS W/125MM BRAKES. The next generation of alpine touring tech has arrived. After the unveiling of the Salomon Shift, the ski world waited with bated breath to see who would be the next to step up the game. Marker has answered the call with the innovative new Marker Duke PT 16 Alpine Touring Ski Bindings. At first glance, it looks kind of like a Marker Jester with a lever sticking out of its nose. But fold it back like the head of an Autobot, and you’ll see the tech toe piece hidden underneath. The entire downhill toe actually comes off of the binding to cut 300 grams of weight from each ski while you’re touring, then pops back in at the top of your line to form a big burly DIN 16 alpine binding for the descent. It tours light and fast, and skis with power, safety, and elasticity previously unheard of in a pin touring binding. Ride and Hike Toe. Delivers the downhill performance expected from Royal Family bindings along with full release function and pin technology for optimum uphill performance. Option to remove the Ride Toe and save 300 grams per binding for hiking. Auto Quad Lock Technology. In Ride Mode, toe piece locks itself at 4 different points automatically when stepping into the binding. Stainless Steel AFD Gliding Plate. MARKER bindings are equipped with a movable AFD (anti friction device) supporting a precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application enhance optimized functionality – from racing, for childrens bindings or on ski tours. Use the metal rail to scratch off ice and snow below your boot sole. Inter Pivot 3 Freeride Heel. The newest generation Inter Pivot heel offers easier step-in performance. The Inter Pivot Heel directs the power forces in the angle of elasticity improving the holding power and reducing pre-releases. Magnesium heel bracket delivers the most power transmission and energy absorption. Lock and Walk Brake. Integrated brake lock, offers 0 and 10 climbing aid in walk mode. Tech Inserts Needed For Hike Function. Magnesium sole holders in the toe combined with a Magnesium heel housing provide the solid construction for the hardest charging freeride athletes. Recommended Skier’s Weight. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. This Frame binding is compatible with regular alpine soles and makes a great 50/50 touring binding thanks to its simple hike mechanism and ability to really perform on the downhill! A new in box pair of Marker Duke PT 12 100mm hybrid downhill touring bindings. Brake width is 100mm. The all new Marker Duke PT 12 (DIN 4-12) also combines the performance of a Jester with comfortable uphill properties of a pin binding. An absolute highlight is the innovative Ride & Hike toe. For walking mode the upper part is simply unlocked and tilted forward, uncovering the pin binding. To save swing weight the upper jaw part can be taken off and stored in the backpack. The multi functional Lock & Walk unit automatically locks the brakes and provides a 10° climbing aid. For downhill mode the front jaw section is clicked back onto the base plate being quadruple secured by the Auto Quad Lock technology. Now the toe piece works just like an alpine toe with all of its advantages! The heel is the latest generation of lightweight Hollow Linkage heels.
