Sidecut radius is 25, 13, 21 meters (166cm) multi radius sidecut shape. The all Blaze 86W is the all new, narrower member of the fantastic Volkl Blaze series. This very light ski is Volkl’s latest all mountain, any day ski for ladies, but especially excels for the women who wants a ski that is very easy to maneuver on the snow, but still with awesome “all day, every day” performance. Like its wider siblings, it is very at home in ungroomed, new snow but with its full multilayer wood core and suspension inserts at tip and tail, it also skis groomers amazingly well also. The multi radius sidecut allows for incredible versatility on a wide range of terrain. Wide open, fast groomers to tight bumps and trees, it can make super short or longer radius turns exactly as you desire. But, where it really shines is in mixed, skied out and bumpy conditions due to its smooth ride and ultra light feel on the snow. Low Profile Tip and Tail Rocker with center camber. Offers outstanding versatility on the snow. Powerful when on edge, with a smooth ride and excellent hold on harder snow. Very easy to turn, and floats well in deeper snow. Also quite lively from turn to turn. Suspension inserts in tip and tail smooth out the ride and dampen vibration while minimizing weight. 3D Multi Radius sidecut simply makes skiing easier. A tighter radius in the center of the ski, combined with longer radius at tip and tail allow the skier to change the length of the turn arc effortlessly. Short, then long, then medium, then…. Super easy to ski. Multi-Layer Wood Core. Völkl freesride models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates superior, super secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance. ABS Sidewalls – The ABS sidewalls act as a suspension system for the edges, keeping them in contact with the snow for a smoother feel and better edge hold. This version offered here is matched up the new Marker TP 10 binding system. Very light, with the latest Marker design, and can fit any boot with no holes to drill ever. This binding is compatible with standard Alpine boot soles, but also with the newer Grip Walk boots that are available as well. This binding has a DIN range of 3 to 10. And will work for any skier with a DIN setting of 4 or higher. This is the choice for any good adult skier. We will premount the bindings to your boot sole length, hand tune the tips and tails, and wax the bases. Once you receive your new skis simply take them to a certified technician to have the bindings final adjusted to your exact boot, and have the DIN release setting adjusted to your personal specs.
